1461 Glass Avenue is a new one-level home finished in 2026 and sitting on 1.11 acres in Hopkinsville. That is more ground than most in-town new construction comes with. Everything in it is new: the roof, the systems, the floors, the appliances. Nothing has been lived in, and nothing is somebody else’s idea of an update.
What is here: three bedrooms and two baths on one floor, about 1,630 square feet. The front door opens into a great room under a vaulted ceiling with a fireplace, and the kitchen is in the same room, not behind a wall. The kitchen has a big center island with a workstation sink, stainless appliances and dark wood cabinets up to the ceiling line. The primary suite has a tray ceiling, a walk-in closet, a barn-door closet, and a bath with a double vanity and a tiled walk-in shower. Outside there is a covered front porch, an attached carport and a new concrete drive.
What is not done yet: the yard. The lot was just graded, so most of it is bare dirt with the first grass coming through. You are buying a blank yard, not a landscaped one. For some buyers that is a drawback. For others it is the point: plant what you want, where you want it, without tearing out somebody else’s shrubs first.
One big open room from the front door to the back: a vaulted ceiling, recessed lighting, a large ceiling fan, and a fireplace set into its own surround.
A long center island with a workstation sink and the dishwasher built in, stainless appliances, a tall pantry cabinet, and dining space at the end of the room.
Tray ceiling, a walk-in closet with shelving on three walls, a barn-door closet, and a bath with a double vanity, a lighted mirror and a tiled walk-in shower.
Every room is on the main floor, with the same wood-look flooring throughout and no carpet to replace.
More than an acre for a new build in Hopkinsville, with room behind the house for a garden, a fence, a shop or a dog that needs to run.
An attached carport off a new concrete drive, and a covered front porch with columns across the front of the house.
Information is deemed reliable but is not guaranteed and should be independently verified. Square footage, room counts, acreage and systems are approximate. On new construction that includes the builder warranty, the certificate of occupancy and the utility setup. Ask me and I will get you the paperwork, not a guess.
Glass Avenue is an in-town Hopkinsville street, so groceries, schools, the hospital and downtown are a short drive. Fort Campbell is within a normal commute. You get a brand-new house and more than an acre without moving out to the county for it.
Using VA? New construction works well with VA, and if you are PCSing to Fort Campbell this is a house you can move into without a punch list. Check your numbers against the current BAH rates, then talk to a lender who closes VA loans every week. I can introduce you to one.
FHA or low down payment? On a brand-new home, lenders may ask for the certificate of occupancy, final inspections or a builder warranty before closing. Better to know what yours will want before you are under contract than after.
What does it cost to own? Taxes on new construction are often assessed on the lot until the house is added to the rolls, so the current tax bill can understate what you will actually pay. Budget on the finished value. I will help you estimate it.
It is empty and ready, so showings are easy to set up. Call or text and we will find a time that works, evenings and weekends included.
